Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My grandfather was the only other musician in the family, although I never got to meet him he got to play with Chet Atkins, and several other artists in his day. I wanted to play after listening to his songs, and after years of picking it up and putting it down my friends got me out of my comfort zone and got me playing live and writing music again. Haven't stopped since meeting some great people, and listening to even better stories!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I can't even fathom honestly, but I could imagine it would help tremendously with exposure and giving me the ability to meet and work with other artists. Probably wouldn't hit me until it happened or afterwards.
What would you do with $50,000?
Hopefully get a bus and a few willing people to go visit other States to perform, and see more of this world. As well as make it easier to visit the veteran retirement homes and play for free with my travelling soldier project.
