Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I was introduced to hiphop in 2006. Mike and his son Mikey, who would later become my step father and step brother, had hundreds of CD’s. Every time we were in the car it’d always be Jay-Z or 50 Cent. Then Mikey showed me Eminem, Biggie Smalls and Slick Rick. Since then we’ve both been working on music. We started for fun with a cassette tape. Then it became a passion we both shared and haven’t gave up on.
What message do you try to convey through your music?
My lyrics delve into overcoming abusive relationships, the fight to succeed in rap despite financial hardship, and the battle with depression and drug abuse. Through my story, I aim to inspire others facing similar challenges, showing that even in the darkest times, there is hope and strength to persevere.
What would you do with $10,000?
If I win, I plan to use the money to stabilize my living situation by covering a few months of rent, allowing me to focus on my music without financial stress. I'll also invest in purchasing beats and producing my most dedicated album yet, aiming to create something truly impactful that resonates with my audience. This investment will help me take a significant step forward in my rap career and share my story with a wider audience.
