Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration comes from a mix of legendary artists such as Michael Jackson, Dr Dre, Prince, and many others. Artists who represent more than music. They've set the standard for excellence both in the studio and on stage. They used their platforms to give back and stand up for something greater, like world peace, education and unity. I think about how people react to their music and I want to be sure that mines touches people the same way all over the world.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would allow for millions of people who believe in good music to hear what I've created from my upcoming album, "And Then There Was Us". My recent song titled "Can We Go Back" is based on world peace, loving one another instead of killing, and treating each other as equal. The upcoming new album is an all out feel good party vibe which features songs that everyone can dance to. The Global Citizen Festival would give me that opportunity
What would you do with $50,000?
Over the last 2 years, I have put my heart and soul into finding 12 up and coming artists from across the country to feature on my compilation album. I have paid for everything in regard to production from money I work hard for each day. I strongly believe in the artists that I've chosen and my goal is to get all of them performing on the stage of many festivals and concerts. $50,000 would be used to help promote the album heavily and boost their music careers.
