Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Tom Petty wad like the Father I never had. Never met the guy, but he sure taught me a lot. I grew up on the South Side of Chicago and went to school with Buddy Guy's grandkids. So I was influenced heavily by blues music early on. And the first time I saw it played live, I knew that's what I wanted to do with my life.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a notch in our belt forsure. However it would be the following few months afterwards that would really open up the door for us with additional opportunities. And we have been preparing to ride a wave like that as long as we can. A couple of huge months in a row could springboard us to the level of exposure we need to have lasting success.
What would you do with $50,000?
Well first, I would pay my taxes from the last 2 years. Then I would take the rest and deposit it into the Alex Metropolis LLC account. Where I would spend that $ on: -Recording & Releasing more music -increased Merchandise production -Gear repairs & upgrades -Releasing more professional video content -hire an international agent to play overseas -hire a horn section -press vinyls & cds -repair and maintain touring vehicle
