Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My biggest idols are artists whose influence went beyond their genre. Tyler, Rocky, Kanye, Frank, Daniel Caesar, Scott James, Puma Blue, and Travis are some of my many influences. Each one of them has provided me a recognizable sound and skill for what I want my art to sound like and how it will be presented. Each artist mentioned has taught me different aspects of the talent it takes to become an artist and how to dominate in other creative areas.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Getting to preform at this festival wouldn’t just showcase my music and creativity, I think people would resonate with my message. I think people are hungry for the next big era. Everyone who’s pushed into stardom now feels tired and inauthentic. (No disrespect to those who sell out shows.) I want to change that and I believe my music does a good job at showcasing what a newer and younger artist can accomplish when they’re given a chance.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would put half of the money away for college and the other half for studio time, audio engineers, venues for live shows, a management team, and video editors. I have a lot of ideas and thoughts that I want to execute but many come with a cost or years of expertise. I’m a student who’s trying to pursue a music career. I write, mix, produce, and arrange all my music but time is starting to become an issue. Having people I trust mix and edit for me would ensure my path to success.
