Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My inspiration comes from gratitude of being alive. I tapped in to my artistry very young from being in so many unsafe environments. I have a lot of inspiration and am grateful for that every day as I have no idea where it comes from. Since I have it I should share it. It inspires others and helps quality of life immediately. I was shy to sing but I faced my fears. I love vocalists.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would cause such a shift inside to be part of so many artists that my music would reflect that experience and the sound I make can grow and grow and I can do what I’m meant to do. More exposure means more people and more healing. More opportunities my music translates in to more opportunities for others. It’s a global feeling not simply a my career feeling. It’s bigger then all of us and I’m happy to have gifts in this area so I can participate. To have support like t
What would you do with $50,000?
I would make more music. I would save the money for my son. I have experienced a massive amount of loss recently and I would want to know that I have the means to help him with what he needs and be a beacon of light, strength, grace and support for him. He’s a jazz drummer in scholarship out east and I am so proud of him. I played music with him often growing up and saw how that manifested. These are incredible tools. Thank you for this opportunity.
