Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I teach elementary music and some of my greatest inspirations are truly my students. Watching them grow into the artists they dream of being one day at a time has truly changed my life. I find so much joy in seeing the fire and passion that we chase so often come to life in each of them. It has been my greatest adventure.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would truly not only inspire myself but inspire my students to chase every dream their heart has in store and to never govern up on their passions. It would also help me create a more established fan base to inspire. After all, we all need someone to cheer us on and look up to In times of trouble.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use a large portion to go back into the arts programs for my district. We are a low income district and these kids need something to be proud of since most of the time academics is not their strong suit. I’d use the rest to promote and help reach a larger audience and fan base with my music. My goal in making music has never been to “make money”, but rather to reach through the radio and hold the hands of the broken hearted with my music.
