Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Growing up in Kingston, Jamaica, I was surrounded by rich musical traditions. However, Tori Kelly's heartfelt songwriting and unwavering dedication to her craft truly inspired me. Her music motivated me to write my songs and learn the guitar. I also draw inspiration from artists like Troye Sivan, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Patti LaBelle, each of whom brings a unique blend of emotion and artistry that resonates with me.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen would be bigger than me. It’s a platform to share Jamaica’s voice with the world, stand for something greater, and inspire others who come from small places with big dreams, just like I do. It would be a moment to give more people hope and remind them that their voice matters too.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d invest in making more music that’s true to me, better production, more visuals, and real promotion to reach new audiences. I’d also give back by supporting young creatives in Jamaica who need someone to believe in them, like I needed when I started.
