Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I have been inspired by many great artists throughout the years, especially in the music genres of Rap and EDM. The art of DJing has had a massive impact on the way we receive and appreciate music starting with the breakbeats that came out of NYC. Combining parts of multiple songs in specific ways back to back provides endless inspiration for me. Also my love of different genres has made me delve deep into what sounds resonate with me and why. I use these elements to produce my own tracks.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a absolute honour to perform in the city where Hip Hop was born. It would help me connect with many new people that are passionate about music including other artists, fans, and people that book events and shows. NYC is full of great opportunities. I have already made many connections in the state of NY, and would love to expand my network to the city! I see people doing really great events there that are aligned with my sound and vision.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would pay some bills, and fill our fridge with groceries. I would Fix my car so it is ready to drive a long trip with many show stops along the way :) Then I would put together a string of gigs in different cities across North America (in places where I have already established contacts). Next I would dedicate my time to making a some new tracks as well as all the digital assets and short form content to go with them. Then I will advertise them, and be able to do another small scale tour.
