Anna Brinker

I truly love writing songs and performing them, to connect with the audience. Life’s a lot sometimes, writing songs helps.

Q&A

Who or what is your musical inspiration?

My dad, Bill Scranton. He passed away in 2023 at 87. I remember him writing and singing and playing while I was growing up. He was so talented. Back in 2008/09 he bought me a pawn shop acoustic Abilene guitar and taught me some chords. From there, the fire was lit, realizing that I could now write my feelings rather than using someone else’s songs to help me through something.

How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?

I feel it would be a launch to a much larger audience, that may in turn, massively grow my success as a singer/songwriter.

What would you do with $50,000?

I would pay off some things so that I could focus more on music. And I’d get to recording and releasing good quality versions of songs that I’ve written.
