Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I always loved and was around music but Taylor Swift lit that spark in me as a young songwriter to become an artist. My Dad had a studio he set up and that made the idea of producing my own work really accessible to me so I set up my own space and started producing my music as a teenager. The Beatles have always been a presence in my life and gave me drive and perspective to see my music as an art form that can take on so many shapes, and in turn I should push myself in my writing and sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen would be such an incredible growth opportunity for me not only to be given a platform to be heard by so many people and potential fans, but also get out of my comfort zone (my studio) and onto a big stage to share my music in such a different and incredible way. I have always had visions of my music on a stage, and it would be an insane dream come true to translate this little world I've built onto a big stage for so many people to experience.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use it to help me pursue my music career full-time. I have been in Nashville working a day job, producing, writing, painting; finding ways to make money so I can have time for my music. I love the hustle of this era of my life, there is so much to learn and gain, but it would be incredible to have the resources and time to take off running and really do music full time. I would love to go on a tour through some U.S. cities and play my music for new crowds and just get to make my music!
