Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspirations are the people around me, the inherent creativity of humans, and the fact that music has been an integral part of humanity in every culture for basically all of our existence. To make things that contribute to this or hone the inventions of others is so special to me.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would give me insight into how other artists work, connect with other people who love music, and show me how special working in music can be. Hopefully those connections would open doors into working with more people and learning more about the developing music industry. My favorite thing about working in music is connecting with others and getting inspired by other musicians, and to take that from my local scene to a larger scale would be so special to me.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use it to create an environment of learning and utilizing production to teach people how to use those tools and continue creating projects, because access to that when I was younger allowed me to become the musician I am today. I hope I can use a resource like that to teach others in the way I was able to be taught. I’d also use the money to fairly and adequately pay the people who help me do what I do, including tour/ recording expenses, and take my grandma to a hell of a nice din
