Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I love Chrissie Hynde, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus, Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Carlos Santana, Paul Weller of the Style Council, Selena Gomez and Lionel Richie.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be so amazing. I’m currently working on improving my live performance skills. I have been starting small, playing in front of people with disabilities I work for. I performed in a church in Brooklyn last October in front of about 200 people. I then performed at a company fundraiser in Staten Island in front of about 250 people. Everyone loved my performance. This would be a huge next step. I’m also about to start having vocal lessons with a woman who taught Annie Lennox.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would tithe some of it, save some of it and use some of it to pay for vocal training and maybe make a music video for one of my songs. I know that the best singers, the ones with the most vocal control have voice lessons.
