Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I draw inspiration from people I meet in my journey. Everyone wants to be safe, keep their families safe, and find peace in their lives. My music is about the human condition -- love, happiness, suffering, loss. I draw inspiration from all the vibes around me, the various rhythms of people's lives.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be the greatest honor of my life. It would allow my music to be heard on a global stage and connect to a global audience. I would hope that my music would help bring peace and healing to the world. I also hope that the festival would connect me with other artists, as well as with promoters and managers in the music business.
What would you do with $50,000?
The prize money would help me produce my next album and help me pay for my daughter's college tuition.
