Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m inspired by good stories, emotional connections and ultimately personal life altering experiences. My mother is a massive inspiration on that front, and I learned how to properly express and communicate how I feel through my music from other influences like Xxxtentacion, beabadoobee, and various other artists. My current sound is heavily influenced by my vision of the future, and what I think the people of the future would listen to and enjoy.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would massively propel me forward, giving me eyes and attention that i’ve been wanting to obtain. It would give me a chance to not only show that crowd, but the world who I am, show the world my energy, show the world my strength and passion. I fully believe I could make everyone see me and hear me regardless of musical preference or style, and I would like to show that to the world.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d give back to the people that have not only supported me but also directly helped me, the people that impacted not only my career but my life. Every single person backing me, listening to me, hearing what I have to say. I’d also split some with my mother, as another way of giving her the flowers she deserves because without her I wouldn’t be who I am, and I wouldn’t be as powerful without her.
