Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I write exclusively from life experience, whether it's my own or someone else's, because that's where the most powerful stories come from & all songwriters are storytellers. My musical influences follow that archetype; Michelle Branch, Maren Morris, Olivia Rodrigo, & Taylor Swift. I write about the feelings that inspire me and/or are too big to feel on my own: rage, love, joy, heartbreak, crushing despair, etc. The biggest moments of my life are preserved and immortalized as songs.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would change my life. Playing Global Citizen Festival would be the launchpad for my career, something that could propel me towards working with amazing collaborators, help me to develop a bigger fanbase, maybe even attract a label. It would mean performing on a stage my idols and biggest influences have played, and doing it for an amazing cause. It would mean being part of a change I want to see in the world and having my music connect to something bigger than myself.
What would you do with $50,000?
I'd buy my parents a house/apartment - or at least contribute - and then probably hire someone to help me purchase it so they can't turn it down since they'd never accept it if I offered on my own. I'd also want to allocate funds to work with my dream producers to create my dream quality music, and promo to help grow my fanbase and give my career some staying power. I want Global Citizen to be a launchpad and breakout moment for my career. I want to come back one day and headline.
