Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Music was always in my blood—my dad opened for The Doors and raised me on the greats. I sang Little Richard in 1st grade, danced to MJ the next, and seeing Prince live made me say, “I want to do that.” I’ve always been drawn to iconic frontmen who blur lines—Bowie, Jagger—and artists who heal through music: Marley, U2, Imagine Dragons. After getting sober, music became my way to connect, reveal, and help others feel less alone.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
In today’s music world, access is easy—but standing out is hard. Like many artists, I just want to be heard. Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a dream come true—a chance to share my story, my recovery, and my truth on a global stage. From singing MJ and Little Richard as a kid to battling addiction, everything has led to this: using music to connect, heal, and inspire.
What would you do with $50,000?
Every penny would fuel my music—recording unreleased songs, creating videos, and playing shows that connect people. This is my purpose. But I’d carve out enough to take my wife, kids, and parents on a vacation—to thank them for their endless support, sacrifice, and love. They’ve stood by me through it all. This would be a celebration of the dream we’ve all been chasing together.
