Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I have many inspirations, but my music is very based on that classic indie pop sound. Some examples are Dayglow, Wallows, and Harry Styles. I love a nice upbeat sound, but I can also really tune in to a somber more slow song. I love expanding the bounds of my production. I’d love the opportunity to make music that sounds nothing like I’ve done before, and continue to make my classic sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would definitely jumpstart my career, and let my talent be shown to people who can really influence it. I think I have the drive to make beautiful music, but if I had someone to help me put it out to the world I feel I could be unstoppable. If I were to get this chance, it would give me the confidence to make a massive difference in my music.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would first of all pay for school (UT Austin where I study music) and upgrade a lot of my production equipment. I love learning new instruments, so I’d probably buy better and new instruments to expand my production. I think if I had better equipment, it would excite me to produce even more. It would help me feel financially stable through college with extra to further my music career.
