Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m inspired by my life experiences and my loved ones. I also take inspiration from artists who embrace vulnerability and emotion in their music like Mac Miller, Prince, and Lenny Kravitz, as well as artists rooted in community like WuTang and Odd Future.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As someone who advocates for operating within community I feel like it would be the perfect platform for me to contribute to. Global Citizens Festival represents the collective work it takes to support each other which aligns with the music I make and the collaborations that drive my music. It would be an honor to bring my story to the Global Citizen’s stage.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would put on a local community arts festival to showcase the broad range of local artists from my area and raise funding for a county funded scholarship to be given out twice a year to artists of any medium and age who need supplies, equipment, or production services, etc. to advance their creative careers.
