Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We are inspired by the music and culture of Mississippi blues and rock & roll, a culture rich with artists who made the music they wanted to hear, telling stories about the experiences they lived first-hand. We are also inspired by the freedom and reckless abandon of punk rock music, where anyone can express anything, even if its uncomfortable.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at this festival would provide Basejump an opportunity to demonstrate our songcraft, performance ability, and overall readiness as a band to deliver world-class entertainment, anywhere, anytime, for anyone.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would improve our live performance gear, while setting aside a significant portion of the winnings to finish recording our debut LP and pay our beloved friend and producer, Justin Kay, for recording all our music to date (for free) and believing in us.
