Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up in the UK listening to everything from MJ to Barbara Streisand, Eva Cassidy to Mike & The Mechanics, Jewel to Tina Turner. My influences are very broad but country music has my heart.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Oh my goodness it would literally propel me into the world I've always dreamed about. To have the exposure to write and sing what I want to say is all I've ever wanted.
What would you do with $50,000?
Firstly I would help my family, but I'd love to donate some to a mental health programme. Particularly one where young people could channel their emotions and trauma into songwriting. I did that without the knowledge I have now as a qualified mental health professional and my passion is to combine music and mental health.
