Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We live by the code of the loud quiet loud dynamics from bands like Pixies and Nirvana. We find our bliss in the massive guitar tones of bands like Smashing Pumpkins and my bloody valentine. We take these influences from the past and reinterpret them through a modern lens bringing a sound that is nostalgic yet new.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As an NYC band, you’re always fighting for any crumb of attention you get. There’s so much you can do on any given night that as a musician, you need to give them a reason to come out and see you. Performing for the Global Citizen Festival would put us in front of a much larger audience than we’ve ever been exposed to and that’s completely invaluable. The bigger the stage, the better we’ve played. This would be the ultimate test of our mettle.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would purchase a tour vehicle (so we could stop renting one), PR for our upcoming record, & put some funding towards our 3rd LP currently in the works.
