Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We pull inspiration from both of our musical backgrounds… from Traditional Appalachian melodies, to more modern Bollywood music. Specific inspiration comes from musicians such as: Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, Bruce Molsky, Chris Thile, Ar Rahman , Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Zakir Hussain , Pandit Dayanand Dev Gandharv , and Keith Terry.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Not only would performing at the festival greatly expand our outreach and networking circles, it would remind all of the festival goers that we all have the similarity of being human, and that we are truly capable of working together for the common goal of shining love, finding peace, and creating something beautiful.
What would you do with $50,000?
This money would allow us the time and resources to collaborate and create a show that we can bring all over the world to share with people. It would allow us to travel to share our music and stories with underserved communities that desperately need pouring into. It would allow us to perform in venues big and small to bring people from all traditions and communities together.
