Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My parents, music has always been in the background of my life whether it was on at 6am blaring kid rock while my dad got ready for work or sitting in the backseat of the car while my mother took us to our afterschool activities. They are the reason for my being and why I stay living. They accidentally raised a rock star. Which is our new song coming out by Birdie Brooks and The Nest- Accidentally raised a rockstar.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would change our lives completely. Words could never express how much impact it would have on us as we all struggle and live the starving artist life. Working 2-3 jobs while also chasing a dream. We feel as if we are surviving but the moment we get on that stage we feel alive. We are servers now because we know we are meant to be servers for the world. It's was we were born to do.
What would you do with $50,000?
As we are a group of five it would be divided up evenly or put into a fund of savings for strictly The Nest. Our dream is to open up a home for musicians, where they can chase their dreams at low expenses because we know what it's like trying to live on your own, pay bills but also pay these ridiculous cost to record music. Our record label is going to set so many people free from the chains of their reality.
