Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Earth, Wind & Fire is our inspiration. EWF was a "Chicago Jazz" band created by Maurice White as a synergy of Blues, R&B, Jazz, Soul, Pop, "World Music", etc. -- guided by his mentor Maestro Charles Stepney who (like White) was from the Chess Records legacy (a cradle of popular music). It is impossible to overstate the importance of the music they crafted. Even today, EWF is an unapproachable standard (as much as The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Quincy, Motown). We try.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Dramatically. We are successfully endeavoring to meet that "unapproachable standard". Our aspiration and execution is quite clear, and we deliver on the promise. There is no question that when experienced -- things will be self evident. Of course, most would say that about themselves. Fortunately for us, our 2 hour TV concert and our music illustrate our point. Hopefully, that is a bridge to performing at the Global Citizen Festival, which would be a defining opportunity for us.
What would you do with $50,000?
We would invest to advance things. $50,000 would allow us to complete the next music album, and produce a companion video.
