Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I started playing piano when I was six and performing at events. I really loved learning to play Ray Charles. I performed as Elvis at a school event and enjoyed leading the singing at church. In junior high I started writing my own songs and playing guitar, and started performing as a disc jockey and played my first prom at 14 wearing disco suit and wig! I earned a degree in music and love making new dance and pop music and performing is very exciting!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I love producing new music with others, and getting feedback from others and trying to improve my skills at performing. I would look at it as an opportunity to improve my skills. It would allow me to network with others about creating music and performing in the future. I would love the opportunity to inspire others towards being passionate about music, bridging partnerships, building relationships and creating a community of creators and innovators that are focused on improving the future.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest in a music studio and online network community where musicians can mentor children online and help their learn to create music and find their own vision as musicians. Providing online music classes is a way to help child become focused on self improvement and develop a positive social identity through engagement and collaboration.
