Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My inspirations are varied and vast, but primarily include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Steve Winwood, Sting, Chris Cornell and Phish. I am also heavily driven by the support of my family and friends and the community I’ve been fortunate enough to foster over the course of my life and career.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It’s hard to put into words how much it would propel me and my band forward to have this opportunity. To be able to connect with a crowd that size who are invested in discovering new music and showcase the vibe, and camaraderie we work so diligently to cultivate would be simply amazing.
What would you do with $50,000?
The first order of business would be to get back in the studio and make a new record. After that, we would plan a tour with a slightly larger radius than ones we have been on in the past. And, I would host a show/event for the fans and friends that have been by us every step of the way to say yet another in a long line of thank you’s. Most of all, it would provide us with time and some freedom to focus on the next steps both personally and creatively.
