Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I would say life. I reflect life in all my music. I truly believe art is life and life is art. Other than this you have to be inspired by the greats of your artform, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Wu Tang Clan, RZA, Madlib, Alchemist, Ghost face Killah, Jay Z, Big Pun.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a significant boost to my career, no doubt. Imagine the sheer exposure to a massive, engaged audience, both live and streaming worldwide. That kind of platform could introduce my music to millions who might never have heard it otherwise. It's not just about the numbers, though. The Global Citizen Festival aligns with values I believe in – social justice, equality, and making a positive impact.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I won $50k, the greatest thing I'd do is invest in a local initiative supporting youth arts education here in Detroit. Giving kids access to creative outlets can change lives, (it did mine) and I'd love to help. I'd also pump some into my music career, possibly creating a fund for collabs and album creations to continue building my and my labels strong catalogue.
