Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Hits are everything to me. They’re the soundtracks to people’s most intimate, raw moments. I’m not a technically trained singer or producer. Everything I release comes from years of studying hits and knowing how to make a song become just that. I’m deeply inspired by the genre blending artists of 2010s hip hop - A$AP Rocky, Brockhampton, Tyler, The Creator - and model my sound around their ability to break sonic boundaries. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing my music on the Global Citizen stage would change my life. It would be the beginning of a journey that shows artists you never have to fit into a sonic box to contribute to the mainstream conversation around music. It’s a launchpad to connect to millions, and show the world I’m here to make a major impact. This stage would put in a conversation of artists that have changed culture for the better, connecting me to an audience that values creating positive change through art
What would you do with $50,000?
Re-invest every penny into my career. Music is truly what I eat and breathe every day. While winning $50,000 would be a huge honor, it’s only another step towards building a legacy catalog of hits that will inspire future generations to come. Music is a language that transcends time. My musical inspirations are my biggest heroes, and it’s my life’s goal to take that torch and become a voice for those who might one day take the torch from me!
