Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m inspired by theatrical pop and country icons like Dolly Parton, Elton John, Miley Cyrus, mixed with the raw storytelling of bluegrass and folk music, and the DIY heart of indie bands. I write for the kids who grew up on musicals and Disney Channel but now feel everything a little too deeply. My music lives in a space between glitter and gut punches.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen would be a dream and a huge step forward. I make music for theatre kids, Hannah Montana fans, and anyone who’s homesick for something they can’t name but still wants to dance. My live show blends indie pop, theatre, and performance art. I believe in it with my whole heart, and I know it belongs on a stage like this.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d give back to the people who’ve lifted me up: fellow LGBTQ+ indie artists, my family, and my band. I’d invest in building a tour that creates an inclusive space where everyone can laugh, cry, and dance together. This would be a chance to grow something bigger than myself.
