Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Screaming and crying at my inner child. Nostalgia for lost lovers, missed chances, the parts of myself I have buried to survive. I write trying to remember who I was before the he trauma and loudness, and sing like I am not afraid to feel it.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
For 16 years my band has existed at the edges of dive bars, DIY venues, and regional festivals- chasing connection, night after night. We’ve played through heartbreak, joy, parenthood, burnout, and revival. Playing GlobalCitizen fest would be a chance for us to lift our voices far beyond the towns we grew up in or suffered through. We are ready. Not because we want to be seen, but because after 16 years, we know who we are. And we know what we want to say.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000, I’d professionally record and release an EP, invest in visuals that define our identity, and plan a regional tour to grow our audience. I’d hire a publicist to expand our reach, and build the legal and business structure needed for long-term growth. After 16 years of playing locally and regionally, this would be a chance to take everything we’ve built to the next level — and finally show the world what we can do.
