Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My biggest inspiration—the person who got me into doing what I love—was 50 Cent. He was the first artist who introduced me to hip-hop. I was a huge fan at a young age; I even had a poster of him on my wall that my uncle gave me. I recorded my first song in middle school. At the time, Chief Keef was a big influence. Seeing him succeed at such a young age made it feel like anyone could do it if they really put their Mind and heart to it.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I believe this will take me to the next level of popularity and open up many new opportunities. Once fans hear what I have to offer, I know it will resonate. It’s a chance for me to reach new audiences and turn my passion into a full-time career—which has always been the ultimate goal.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I had $50,000, I would first pay off some debt to clear my financial path. I’d upgrade my studio equipment to improve the quality of my music, and invest in a camera to professionally shoot videos with my cousin. I’d also put funds into growing my brand, Passenger Seven, and take it to the next level.
