Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My friends and family are my musical inspiration. I would not be able to do what I do without them. The whole reason why I even started writing music in the first place is because of how inspired I was by the creativity of my friends, and they pushed me to begin recording and performing.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
My goal was never to be famous, but to have a true impact and be able to speak out about things that really matter to me through my passion for performing. I am incredibly passionate about child advocacy and supporting the arts in public schools, and truly want a career in this. By performing here I would exemplify my dedication to making a change and be able to open up opportunities to work with others who can help me make an impact on local communities.
What would you do with $50,000?
This would be a decision for my band as well, as I would be unable to do any of this without them. However, I would want us to be able to go on tour so that we could perform and further spread the word on the importance of community and support. I am so passionate about performing, I just love being able to entertain and bring people together through music. I would set up fundraisers alongside each tour stop, donating proceeds from each show to a different cause and give back locally!
