Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I don’t have a one singular music inspiration, as my taste has been shifting since I was 12 years old. However, I will say I need a song to hit me hard emotionally. I need an ounce of substance. Recently, I’m really into bands, artists, and genres such as Cameron Winter, Wilco, Pavement, Geese, 50’s classics, Greg Mendez and Father John Misty.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the global citizens fest would give my music the spotlight it deserves and needs to thrive. I will expose something truly vulnerable and powerful to thousands of people who haven’t heard of me at all. I know by the end of my set I will have fans. Even if it’s a couple hundred, those couple hundred will feel seen. The impact I have on others is what impacts my career. Opportunities like this, to share my heart, to be impactful is what keeps the music alive.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000 I would plan to separate the money. I’d put 65% into my college savings account, and 35% into music expenses, studio time, equipment, etc… I would use the money to continue growing my career. I would be investing in myself.
