Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Informing my personal creation style: Fiona Apple, Alanis Morrissette, Maggie Rogers, The Mountain Goats. Informing my general artistic voice: hip hop, folk, punk, rock, classical, theater and drag.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Positively, I would imagine! In all seriousness, performing with the wide and passionate audience of GCF would elevate my opportunities to create and perform in ways I can't even imagine yet. My music career would become one where I get to be more selective in the spaghetti I throw at the wall; I will already have an audience that will hear whatever sticks.
What would you do with $50,000?
20,000 would go towards my student loans. 10,000 would go to charity, likely split among a few different organizations in the realms of food justice, housing justice, trans and queer protection, climate justice and racial justice. 8,500 would be paid back among everyone who helped me crowdfund for my studio album. 6,500 would go towards my next music project. 5,000 would go to my savings.
