Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Our musical inspiration comes from our late band mate and best friend Kyle Robinson. This band originated as a three piece where Kyle wrote and produced hand in hand with our guitarist Gabe and singer Juliana. After his tragic and unexpected passing in 2020, when he was only 21, our life purpose and perspective entirely changed. We now live honoring his talent, valuing music and friendship at the top, and we know that through our music we are keeping his memory and talent alive
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Global Citizen is an organization that heavily aligns with our purpose in making music! Besides being a fun and creative outlet, we wish to grow our platform as artists to create meaningful impact in this world when it comes to climate action and protection, gender equity, and becoming activists for peace. Not only would we be able to perform in front of a wider audience, but we'd also be exposed to creating more connections in the world of social justice and activism
What would you do with $50,000?
Not only would this prize allow us to fund our touring efforts, as well as our next record, but we'd also like to donate a portion of the prize to a musician collective in our community called Tummy Rub Records, which supports young artists by breaking financial barriers of entry into recording studios. Upstate NY is beaming with new talent and it's often hard for these small bands to be able to put their music out there. We'd love to support their mission of uplifting young musicians!
