Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Growing up I was a super Billy Joel fan. I fell in love with his deep storytelling and his ability to capture the life he lived throughout the 20th century. He really is an inspiration to me when it comes to true songwriting. Among others, I’ve connected deeply with modern songwriters like Zach Bryan, Lizzy McAlpine and Noah Kahan.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This opportunity would propel me into the next phase of my career and give me a chance to help those in need while reaching a wider fanbase. I would be able to share the true message of what music does to connect all of us as human beings.
What would you do with $50,000?
While traveling to Guatemala for a humanitarian trip I connected with a program called Cultiva International that helps provide sustainable food sources for those subject to poverty. This organization helps those with hunger and connects with those in need of community and love. I would donate half of the $50,000 to this charity to help them impact more lives. I would invest the remaining money into my career expanding my reach and influence.
