Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is based off pure nostalgia and heritage. My dad and his dad before him are from Toronto, Canada, so people like PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake were my biggest influences in terms of recent music and what I listen to daily. A lot of my early music dives into the UK drill scene from influences like Top Boy, and my childhood on the east coast where drill was popular. I’m able to blend the genres and I feel I’m creative in the beat making process as well.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would do numbers for me to get infront of a bunch of new possible fans. I have no doubt in my mind I can stun a new audience. I’ve opened for bigger audiences before, so the show would mostly be a way to find my target audience.
What would you do with $50,000?
The 50,000 would go to a start on life as I am just graduating college now with a music business major. I will also invest in a professional studio album in hopes to get signed.
