Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration mainly stems from The Beatles and Foo Fighters, specifically Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl because of their overall musicianship and ability to play all of the instruments on their songs. From a composition standpoint, while the two above people have had a huge impact on my songwriting, other key individuals to note are Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, John Rzeznik of Goo Goo Dolls, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
If I were to be granted the opportunity to perform at the Global Citizen Festival this year, I would get a chance to not only showcase my currently under the radar self-reflective 90s nostalgic rock music to many new listeners, but I would also get to play a homecoming show for my home state of NY and bring people together through something that is universally impactful, which is music.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I were to receive the $50,000, I would first donate $5000 to a New York homeless shelter charity, then save $20,000 for the future. The majority of the funds would go towards the three ongoing albums and 10 standalone singles that I am currently having to finance out of pocket for recording, mixing, music videos, and marketing/promotion costs. This has made it very challenging financially to stay afloat as a 26-year old living in an already expensive NYC renting market. Hoping for the best!
