Who or what is your musical inspiration?
To be honest, it was my mother. She performed in Bombay, India, and in Calcutta, and also the Philippines, and at the age of four she let me sing with her at her first gig in the United States from that moment on, I always had a dream of performing, but I wasn’t able to pursue it till much later due to childhood trauma , but I got through it and started late in my career. I love being on stage and I love writing music!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would impact it greatly to get in front of an audience that would finally hear us on larger stage. On top of that, the members in my band have come and gone in the past, but the ones I have now have been with me for quite some time. They are like my brothers and I love them like family and I would do anything to help further their career, not just mine. In regards to our band, when we play live, people cannot believe why we are not playing on larger stages. Our music reaches all ages!
What would you do with $50,000?
Honestly, I’m recording the album at home. It’s our sixth independent record, and this time we would finally have the money for merchandise and proper promotion. I would also use it to schedule a regional tour and the expenses that come with that.
