Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Twenty years ago? Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Rakim—giants across genres who shaped my sound. But today, it’s deeper. It’s my wife and kids who give me reason, and God who gave me breath. Every verse I write is laced with purpose. Not chasing clout—I'm chasing legacy. My music isn’t just a vibe—it’s a conviction. I’m here to disrupt the noise with truth, with heart, with fire. If it doesn’t shake souls or spark change, I don’t want it
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
On a personal level, it’s legacy. My kids would see their father stand for something bigger than himself—faith, justice, purpose. That moment would echo in my family forever. On a global scale, this stage would let me fuse message with movement, voice with vision. I don’t just make music—I connect struggle to hope, truth to power, and hearts to something higher. Performing at Global Citizen would amplify that mission across borders and generations.
What would you do with $50,000?
My wife would probably roll her eyes at this answer—but I’d finally give her the honeymoon she never got. She’s held me down through every season, and it’s time I give her that dream moment. I’d also set some aside for our kids’ college fund—because building a legacy means investing in their future, not just mine. The rest? I’d pour it right back into the music and the mission.
