Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration comes from my grandmother and my mother. Both are classical trained vocalist who have performed for many years. My grandmother has performed around the world and my mother has also performed in several bands. Jazz, big band, classic rock and rhythm and blues. Being serenaded by my mother as an infant, and being around music all the time, it became a part of me. My grandmother’s recent passing inspired me even more to achieve my dreams and continue her musical legacy
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career by giving me the exposure to introduce my music to a larger and more diverse group of people. This platform would also be a great place outside of the internet to connect with others in the industry and spend my birthday performing and interacting with people who are on a mission to end extreme poverty.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use it to invest in my career and business by opening a studio. I would purchase more equipment and acquire a space to facilitate recording and small workshops. With doing so, I would help impoverished youth explore and develop their talents in music. This would assist in keeping them productive and out of trouble.
