Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up in the late 2000s and the 2010s. I’m the youngest of 6 with big age gaps in my family, so I was exposed to a variety of genres and artists throughout my childhood. I love classic bachata and merengue, so like Marc Anthony but also love what Bad Bunny has been doing lately. I love R&B and really respect SZA and Muni Long as songwriters. Sia, Lady Gaga and Beyonce are three of my biggest musical inspirations. Their catalogs include many genres and sub genres of pop that inspire
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen Festival would actually be life changing. I started in musical theatre and have been performing solo music since highschool to small crowds. The biggest crowd I’ve performed to has probably been less than 1,000. I would love to show other queer people of color that they can do whatever it is they are passionate about and love to do and be successful and supported.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000 I would pay off my student loans from Lebanon Valley College, pay off my car loan and my father’s car loan, catch up on some of my family’s medical bills, invest into my art and fix my mother’s family house located in Jayuya, Puerto Rico. The house was heavily damaged by hurricane Maria and has been in my mom’s family since she was a young girl. She currently owns the house and has slowly been making attempts to restore it.
