Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My biggest inspirations are contradictions in life, emotional overload, and hope vs fatalism. Artists like Sunny Day Real Estate, Porter Robinson, and KMFDM taught me how to incorporate these themes in my music while keeping it coherent.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would not only prove that emotionally honest work has a place on the world stage, but also that it'd elevate my platform. It would allow me to reach people who also feel alienated and show they're not alone.
What would you do with $50,000?
I'd upgrade my set-up, get studio headphones, a better microphone, a new PC that won't crash mid session, and fund physical releases like vinyl/CDs.
