Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My grandma, she had Alzheimer’s so she lived with us when I was young. She fought hard but eventually it overtook her. While she was struggling and couldn’t remember anything pretty much, we would sing to her. My dad often would go into old church hyms and bible camp songs that would literally change her whole mood. She would smile, laugh and sing the words as if she knew them. It always amazed me how I couldn’t talk to my grandma but this music would make her look/feel as if s
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would change my life, my mother is a hardworking public school teacher who has no end in sight because she took time to raise me and my siblings instead of do both. I have just moved all the way across the country in search of a better life and job for my profession of music. I want to help others and show some of my ideas, it’s not that I am right all the time but in the understanding that we all make mistakes, I think I could help alot of people not feel so bad about the way life&rsqu
What would you do with $50,000?
I would help my parents retire and put at least $5,000 into my siblings college funds. I don’t think 50,000 dollars sadly will retire my family but it would damn near give them a head start and my siblings could relax a little more going into there first years of college which I hope they pursue. Also I would pledge $5,000 to the education oppurtunity fund that GOFUNDME.com has on their donation page. All humans should get a fair chance at good education and I hope that we can reform soon.
