Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I just want people to dance more. My inspiration is the crowd, the dance floor, the spiritual place that is a club or festival. When I'm in the studio, I picture how my music will make people move. As they move, how will it make them feel. We have an innate human desire to express ourselves and I want to encourage people to do so. When I connect with someone while DJing, they become my inspiration. That raw connection.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would change my life! While I'm starting to play larger shows this would certainly be my largest appearance to date and something I would cherish for the rest of my life. I'd be honored to partner with the Global Citizen brand to help the festival and use it as a clear benchmark in the story of my music career.
What would you do with $50,000?
50% I would put directly into my music career and life (paying for rent, food, studio time, equipment, ads/marketing, etc.) The other 50% I would distribute to other up-and-coming artists in the NYC area to help them grow in their careers. Music is community and I would definitely want to use this money to help build that community.
