Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Music allows you to briefly walk in someone else's shoes and sort of live their story and share their experiences. Some of my biggest inspirations in music range from Toby Mac, Bob Marely, Darius Rucker, J Cole, Andre 3000, to Kirk Franklin. I love to tell my story of faith, hard work, insecurities, and overcoming some of life's biggest obstacles past and present. My goal is to give people what they need to keep going, not feel alone, and celebrate moments while being greatly entertained.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would impact my career in a major way. Networking and showcasing are two of the biggest tools needed in the music industry. As an artist who is a professional in my craft, I understand that making quality music itself is not enough but with an opportunity to meet and work with some of the industries greatest platforms and professionals, I know my music could reach new heights with limitless possibilities.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would give Jerrell Dean some for being an amazing vocalist and enhancing my songs and invest the rest into my music career and take it to a new level.
