Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration is the ancestral history of storytelling using instruments, song, and dance. I’m moved by artists like Stevie Wonder who is a prime example that music is a power beyond what the eyes can see in the world. It’s felt in the soul.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen Festival would impact my career tremendously by taking me out the over saturated crab bucket of Los Angeles’ independent (and signed artists) to showcase my passion for the art form of rap/pop/hip hop/ and R&B music, just for a moment. A moment that I’ve been chasing my whole 25 year lifetime. This would finally put me, my sound, and my work ethic in front of industry individuals who can propel me forward.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 would immediately go to paying off the $15k in credit card I accumulated while being chronically unemployed over the past 2 years. I’d also get some work done on my car or buy a new one. The rest would go toward funding my first independent film project which I would act in, creative direct, and develop the score/soundtrack for. The film will circulate all possible film festivals opportunities. I can also develop vinyls to sell for my sophomore EP! I’d be deeply grateful.
