I take genres such as Soul and Pop and blend them with Blues from Mississippi to create catchy music with a ton of texture.

Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My inspiration comes from artists such as Teddy Pendergrass, Amy Winehouse, Ice Cube, Willie Nelson, and more. I love the idea that my music can bring together so many of these influences into one place.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I believe it could bring my music in front of people that may be able to use it as a fun tool. My goal is to make music that people can listen to and forget the world’s problems for a while. I also want to make music that shows that love is truly the greatest feeling and being rich in love is everything.
What would you do with $50,000?
I have a wife with type one diabetes and a three year old. Paying for medical supplies and buying my son some toys sounds great. I’d also love to donate to Camp Kudzu, who helps educate young children with type one diabetes on how to manage it and keep themselves safe in a fun environment. My wife went there as a child and I’d love to pay that back.
