Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical taste is diverse, spanning complex classical (Mahler), genre-bending (Zappa), rhythmic South African Deep House, and experimental Psychedelic Rock n' Roll. This eclectic mix reflects an appreciation for music's vastness, including intellectual depth, technical skill, primal rhythms, and mind-altering sounds, each offering a unique perspective on human experience and sound.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Landing a gig at the Global Citizen Festival could be huge for a Deep House-Funk musician/DJ like myself. It's a chance to seriously expand my reach, especially with people that have a diverse musical palette. It could present a unique opportunity to make new fans out of concert goers that haven’t been exposed to alot of funky House music and hybrid DJ sets. All of this while helping those on the worse end of the poverty spectrum.
What would you do with $50,000?
Honestly, I would save a good portion of it to help my daughter launch after she graduates college next year. I would also invest in increasing my own reach with my music with new marketing campaigns and potentially help bring a good friend with her foundation. She just started a foundation in Rio De Janeiro that aims to introduce young adults living in favelas to dance, music production, and other creative arts that poverty has restricted them from having access to.
